Exhibition Venue: New Age Gallery(Beijing)
Exhibition Period: 2007.12.8 ~ 1.7

"氣" (Qi) in the Chinese mindset forms the foundation linking the human body with nature, society with cosmic principles, sustaining the basic substance of life, nature, society, and cosmic order. "氣" emerges from a profound experience of life among the Chinese, interpreting the laws of life activities in the universe through popularization of "Qi." It holds significant importance in traditional Chinese culture.

The artist believes that all phenomena in the objective world are immersed in the atmosphere and universe. The relationship between phenomena and atmosphere is one of mutual dependence and co-generation, forming a tension between them. When attempting to depict everything in painting, attention should not only be paid to the visible forms and edges of phenomena, but also to the coexistence and symbiosis between phenomena and atmosphere.

This exploration includes the contemplation and organic application of "Qi" in traditional Chinese culture. The artist endeavors to use "氣形" (Qi Xing) to explore new forms and imbue them with a profound understanding of nature, the universe, and life.
